Four named Fall All-Americans
ROCHESTER - Four MCC athletes were named to Fall All-American teams by the National Junior College Athletic Association.
Women's soccer players Maura Martin (Chili, NY/Gates Chili) and Kimika Forbes (Plymouth, Tobago/Scarborough), men's soccer player Shastri Spencer (Cresco, PA/Notre Dame) and volleyball player Lauren Krajewski (Attica, NY/Attica) were honored.
Martin and Forbes helped lead the Tribunes back to the NJCAA national tournament. Martin, who was named to the first team, finished the year with six goals and two assists and was the Region III Player of the Year. Forbes, an honorable mention pick, allowed 0.88 goals per game.
Spencer was also an honorable mention selection. The sophomore led Monroe with 26 points on nine goals and eight assists.
Krajewski was a first-team selection. The WNYAC player of the year was among the nation's leaders in hitting efficiency (47.4%) and kills per game (4.3).
