MCC golfers win two more tourneys
CHAUTAUQUA, NY - The MCC golf team improved to a perfect 4-for-4 in tournaments this year, winning at South Shore Golf Club Saturday and Chautauqua Golf Club Sunday.
The Tribunes had a team total of 17-over-par 305 to win the Jayhawk Invitational hosted by Jamestown CC on the Lake Course at Chautauqua. Chris Malec (Webster, NY/Webster Thomas) had an even-par 72, while Tyler Phillips (Williamson, NY/Williamson) had a 76.
Nick Lomenzo (Victor, NY/Victor) fired a 77 and Jordan Wilson (Phelps, NY/Midlakes) shot a 78.
On Saturday, MCC finished with a score of 322 to beat second-place Mohawk Valley CC by eight strokes.
Phillips and Malec were co-medalists with 78's for the Tribunes. Taylor Page (Holley, NY/Holley) shot an 82.
