MCC golfers place first, third
ROCHESTER - The MCC golf team kicked off the season over the weekend, placing first at the Mohawk Valley CC Invitational and third at the Broome CC Invite.
Tyler French (Irondequoit, NY/Eastridge) placed second overall with a 78 at the Mohawk Invite, which was held at Hidden Valley Golf Club. The Tribunes finished five strokes ahead of Genesee CC.
Kevin Kaye (Henrietta, NY/Rush-Henrietta) placed fourth overall with a 79, while Dave Mon (Greece, NY/Greece Odyssey) was eighth with an 81. Jordan Wilson (Phelps, NY/Midlakes) was 11th with an 83.
MCC placed third at Endwell Greens on Saturday. French again led the way, carding a 79 that was good for eighth place overall. The Tribunes finished 14 strokes behind Broome.
Kaye shot an 81 and Anthony Colosi (Rush, NY/Rush-Henrietta) fired an 83. Nick Lomenzo (Victor, NY/Victor) shot an 84.
