MCC golf in first after day 1
CHAUTAUQUA, NY - Taylor Page (Holley, NY/Holley) opened with a 4-under 68 as the MCC golf team raced to a 15-stroke lead after day 1 of the NJCAA Division III national tournament.
The Tribunes finished with a 3-under-par total of 285 on the first day. Rochester Community and Technical College is second with a 300 and Burlington County College is third with a 305.
Chris Malec (Webster, NY/Webster Thomas) fired a 1-under 71 for Monroe. Ben Finn (Gananda, NY/Gananda) and Jordan Wilson (Phelps, NY/Midlakes) rounded out the scoring with 1-over 73's, while Tyler Phillips (Williamson, NY/Williamson) had a 76.
