Torrance, Bradley named Athletes of the Week

MCC men's basketball player Algeron Torrance (Syracuse, NY/Corcoran) and women's basketball player Ayana Bradley (Syracuse, NY/Corcoran) were named the MCC Athletes of the Week.

Bradley, a sophomore forward, averaged 16.3 points and 13 rebounds as the MCC women's basketball team stretched its winning streak to 12 games with three victories last week. She had 12 points and 13 rebounds against Alfred State, 15 points and 14 rebounds against Mercyhurst NE, and 22 points and 12 rebounds against Niagara CCC. She is averaging 8.8 points and 7.8 rebounds on the season.

Torrance, a sophomore forward, helped the Tribune men to two victories in three games.  He tallied 17 points and nine rebounds in a 62-39 victory over Alfred State Tuesday, and 16 points and 10 rebounds in a 76-68 win over Mercyhurst NE Thursday.  Torrance then added 12 points, five rebounds, and three steals in a 74-68 loss to Niagara County CC Saturday.
