Cokley sings with Bridgeport
ROCHESTER - Former MCC forward Tim Cokley (Ft. Lauderdale, FL/South Plantation) has signed on to continue his education and basketball career at NCAA Division II University of Bridgeport.
Cokley helped lead the Tribunes to a sixth-place finish at the 2009 NJCAA Division II national tournament. He averaged over seven points and seven rebounds per game and shot 55 percent from the field.
The 6-4 forward was named third team All-Region and was MVP of the Pete Pavia Memorial Scholarship Basketball Tournament.
In 2007-2008, Cokley averaged 10.5 points and 8.0 rebounds per contest and was second team All-Region. The Tribunes were 54-15 in his two years.
The University of Bridgeport is located in Bridgeport, Conn. The Purple Knights finished 22-9 last year and reached the national tournament.
