Tribunes win second straight
ROCHESTER - The MCC men's lacrosse team raced to a 15-2 halftime lead and cruised to a 23-6 victory over visiting Cayuga CC Thursday night.
The win was the second in a row for the Tribunes, who improved to 5-4 on the season.
Swan Skidders (Akwesasne Mohawk Reserve/Salmon River) led the way with three goals for MCC. Chris Ledgerwood (Penn Yan, NY/Canandaigua), Nick Berkompas (Webster, NY/Aquinas), and Nate Delone (Henrietta, NY/Rush-Henrietta) each added two goals and one assist.
Four different goalies combined to stop nine Cayuga shots.
Lantz Carter (Baltimore, MD/Northwestern), Mark Dwyer (Montego Bay, Jamaica/Nantucket), and Jesse Corriveau (Cornwall, ON/Cornwall) all had two goals apiece.
