MCC wraps up regular season with wins
BATAVIA - The MCC men's lacrosse team continued on its path toward regionals, defeating Howard CC on Saturday and Genesee CC on Sunday to wrap up the regular season.
The Tribunes, winners of 10 straight, are 13-4 on the season. MCC will host Alfred State Tuesday at 4 p.m. in the Region III quarterfinals.
Monroe defeated Genesee 13-5 Sunday afternoon. Jesse Corriveau (Cornwall, ON/Cornwall) led the attack with four goals and one assist.
Lantz Carter (Baltimore, MD/Northwestern) had four goals and two assists and Nate Delone (Henrietta, NY/Rush-Henrietta) added three goals and one assist.
The Tribunes topped Howard 21-11. Matt McShea (Henrietta, NY/Rush-Henrietta) had 13 saves in three quarters for MCC.
Mark Dwyer (Montego Bay, Jamaica/Nantucket) had a big day with four goals and one assist. Carter and Delone each had three goals and Andrew Smith (Irondequoit, NY/Irondequoit) had two goals and two assists.
