No. 1 Onondaga takes care of Monroe
ROCHESTER - Top-ranked Onondaga CC fell behind early but came back to defeat Monroe CC 23-14 Saturday afternoon.
The Tribunes jumped out to a 5-1 lead, but OCC responded with 11 second-quarter goals to take control.
Lantz Carter (Baltimore, MD/Northwestern) had four goals for Monroe. Nick Mooney (Webster, NY/Webster Schroeder) added two goals and an assist and Jason Houtenbrink (Victor, NY/Victor) also had two goals.
Marc Groth (Manlius, NY/Fayetteville-Manlius) made 14 saves in goal for the Tribunes.
