Powerful Onondaga tops Monroe
SYRACUSE - The Onondaga CC Lazers, ranked No. 1 in the nation, got out to an early lead and defeated Monroe Community College 19-9.
OCC led 4-0 after the first quarter. MCC scored a couple goals in the second, but the Lazers responded with seven third-period goals to open things up.
Kevin McMaster (Webster, NY/Webster Thomas) and Mike Barilla (Webster, NY/Webster Schroeder) each had two goals to lead MCC (1-3). Dan Hinderland (Webster, NY/Webster Thomas) also scored twice.
Todd Laemlein (Irondequoit, NY/Irondequoit) added a goal and an assist. Matt McShea (Henrietta, NY/Rush-Henrietta) made 13 saves.
