Emerllahu scores twice as MCC wins again
ALFRED, NY - Faton Emerllahu (Macedon, NY/Palmyra-Macedon) scored two goals and Stephen Coke (Bronx, NY/Taft) added another score as the MCC men's soccer team won its fourth straight game 3-0 over Alfred State Wednesday evening.
Charles Maxwell (Pittsford, NY/Pittsford Mendon) made two saves to earn the shutout for MCC (7-1).
Emerllahu's first goal came in the 37th minute, assisted by Dom Colaprete (Spencerport, NY/Spencerport), to give Monroe a 2-0 lead. The freshman forward then added his second goal midway through the second half to close the scoring.
Coke opened the scoring early in the first half.
