Men's soccer opens season with victory
ROCHESTER - Stephen Coke (Bronx, NY/Taft) continued his hot streak with a hat trick as the MCC men's soccer team topped visiting Community College of Rhode Island 7-1 on Homecoming Saturday afternoon.
Coke has eight goals on the season, including seven in the last four games. MCC improved to 6-1 with the victory.
Dom Colaprete (Spencerport, NY/Spencerport) added a goal and an assist for the Tribunes. Jeff Ford (Hilton, NY/Hilton) and Alban Emerllahu (Macedon, NY/Palmyra-Macedon) also scored goals.
Akeem White (Bronx, NY/Kennedy) and Alban Emerllahu (Macedon, NY/Palmyra-Macedon) closed out the scoring with second-half goals. The Tribunes scored five total goals after halftime.
Tim Knight (Greece, NY/Greece Olympia) made nine saves in goal for MCC.
