MCC men top Genesee in home opener
ROCHESTER - Moses Watkis (St. Elizabeth, Jamaica/South Kent) scored two goals and assisted on another as the MCC men's soccer team defeated Genesee CC 4-0 in the team's home opener.
Dominic Hooks (Monrovia, Liberia/Overlea) also scored twice for Monroe, which improved to 2-0-1 with the victory. Gerry Martello (Irondequoit, NY/Eastridge) added three assists.
Davion Bailey (Brooklyn, NY/James Madison) made two saves to record the shutout in goal.
The Tribunes hit the road this weekend for a big game at district rival Mercer CCC. MCC returns home Sept. 19 for a 1 p.m. game against Community College of Rhode Island.
