MCC scores six unanswered in win

ROCHESTER - After playing 45 minutes of the scoreless soccer, the MCC Tribunes were looking to pick things up in the second half of Saturday's matinee against visiting community College of Rhode Island.

They did that and more, scoring six unanswered goals to come away with a 6-0 victory over the Knights to improve to 3-1-1 on the season.

Jeff Durosier (Port-au-Prince, Haiti/Ramapo) opened the scoring in the 58th minute with the eventual game-winner, taping the ball past the CCRI goalie into the corner of the net for a 1-0 lead.

Scoring machine Moses Watkis (St. Elizabeth, Jamaica/South Kent) then took over, tallying the next three goals to put the game away.  Watkis also assisted on Durosier's goal for a seven-point day.

Jeremy Loncao (Brighton, NY/Brighton) added a goal on a penalty kick and Jeff Wild (Greece, NY/Greece Athena) converted a header off a pass from Jared Salatino (Greece, NY/Greece Athena) to cap the scoring.

Davion Bailey (Brooklyn, NY/James Madison) made five saves to record the shutout form Monroe.  The Tribunes outshot CCRI 21-6.
