MCC splits over weekend
BALTIMORE - The MCC men's soccer team split a pair of contests on the road over the weekend, defeating Essex County College 2-1 on Saturday before falling to CCBC-Essex 5-1 on Sunday.
The Tribunes are 4-3-1 on the season. They travel to Region III rival Bryant & Stratton on Wednesday.
Saturday's game came down to the wire. Tied at one late in regulation, Mike Collis (Brooklyn, NY/Paul Robeson) knocked in the game-winner with 10 seconds left to give Monroe the victory.
Collis also scored MCC's first goal in the 75th minute. Davion Bailey (Brooklyn, NY/James Madison) made four saves.
Collis added MCC's goal against CCBC-Essex on Sunday.
