Men's soccer tops Mercyhurst
NORTH EAST, Penn.- Sophomore co-captain Dom Colaprete (Spencerport, NY/Spencerport) paced the offense with two goals and an assist as the MCC men's soccer team defeated host Mercyhurst North East 5-0 Sunday afternoon.
Freshman Tim Knight (Greece, NY/Greece Olympia) earned the shutout in goal in his first collegiate game, stopping five Mercyhurst shots.
Stephen Coke (Bronx, NY/Taft) chipped in with a goal and two assists for the Tribunes, who improved to 2-0 on the season. Shastri Spencer (Cresco, PA/Notre Dame) and Faton Emerllahu (Macedon, NY/Palmyra-Macedon) also scored goals for MCC.
Jeff Ford (Hilton, NY/Hilton) and Ian McGimsey (Brighton, NY/Brighton) each added an assist.
