ROCHESTER, MN- The MCC softball team won its second game Thursday, defeating the College of DuPage 12-1 to advance in the winner's bracket.
Alison Duff (Brockport, NY/Brockport) went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer, her 17th of the season. Whitney Wright (Honeoye Falls, NY/Honeoye Falls-Lima) went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate.
Jackie Dean (Horseheads, NY/Horseheads) picked up the win on the mound, allowing three hits and striking out six for Monroe (50-2).
The Tribunes continue on in the winner's bracket Friday, playing Central Lakes (Minn.) at 4 p.m.
