Cary named National Pitcher of Week
ROCHESTER - Chelsey Cary (Pembroke, NY/Pembroke) was named the NJCAA Division III National Pitcher of the Week.
Cary, a freshman, tossed two no-hitters to help the Tribunes go 10-0 last week. She struck out six while no-hitting Erie CC on April 25, then allowed no hits and struck out five against Mohawk Valley CC on April 26.
Including two other hitless relief appearances last week, Cary ended up throwing 16 innings, allowing no hits, and striking out 15.
