MCC swimmers fly past Jamestown, Alfred

ROCHESTER - The MCC men's and women's swimming and diving teams defeated Jamestown CC and Alfred State in a Region III tri-meet Wednesday evening.

The Tribune men topped Alfred State 143-63 and Jamestown 161-9.  The Lady Tribunes beat Jamestown 131-6.

Daniel Branca (Panama) was a triple winner, placing first in the 1650 free, 200 fly, and 500 free.  Grant Oosterling (Newark, NY/Newark) won the 1- and 3-meter diving, while Sean McNamara (Auburn, NY/Auburn) placed first in the 200 free and 100 free. Other winners were:

400 IM - Renzo Alvarez

200 back - Cameron Lovenduski (Moravia, NY/Auburn)

200 breast - Renzo Alvarez

On the women's side, Ashley Burns (Ravena, NY/RCS) took first in the 200 free and the 200 back.  Megan Vandewinckel (Ontario, NY/Wayne) won the 1- and 3-meter diving.  Other winners were:

1650 free - Bethany Peris (Horseheads, NY/Horseheads)

50 free - Stephanie Mills (Rochester, NY/Eastridge)

400 IM - Hali Snow (Hamlin, NY/Brockport)

100 free - Elise Wilkin (Avon, NY/Avon)

500 free - Jackie Rode (Hilton, NY/Hilton)
