MCC swimmers top Alfred State

ROCHESTER - The MCC men's and women's swimming and diving teams picked up wins over Alfred State in a WNYAC dual meet Wednesday.

The Tribune men prevailed over the Pioneers 115-83, while the ladies were victorious by a score of 99-53.

Cory Deacon (Scottsville, NY/Wheatland-Chili) won the 50 free (23.32) and the 100 free (52.00) for the Monroe men.  Tom Deiure (Rochester, NY/Eastridge) placed firs tin one-meter (205.55) and three-meter (226.75) diving.

Taylor Stewart (Owego, NY/Owego Free) won the 200 fly (2:12.65) and the 500 free (5:10.80) for MCC.

On the women's side, Ariel McDowell (Rush, NY/Rush-Henrietta) was a double winner, taking first in the 200 free (2:11.31) and the 200 back (2:30.26).  Mallory Morrell (Rush, NY/Rush-Henrietta) won the 50 free (23.68) and the 500 free (5:37.57).
