Tribunes finish second to Cortland
CORTLAND, NY - The MCC men's and women's swimming and diving teams finished second in a dual meet with SUNY Cortland Saturday.
The Red Dragon men won 128-103 while the Cortland women prevailed 135-78.
The Tribunes women had a 1-2 finish in the 200 backstroke. Ashley Burns (Ravena, NY/Ravena) placed first in 2:22.67 and Christine Judge (Victor, NY/Victor) was second in 2:28.81.
Megan Vandewinckel (Ontario, NY/Wayne) won the 1-meter diving (152.25) and the 3-meter diving (120.90) for MCC.
The Tribune men had a trio of double winners. Renzo Alvarez (Rochester, NY) placed first in the 400 IM (4:29.45) and the 200 breaststroke (2:21.66). Sean McNamara (Auburn, NY/Auburn) won the 50 free (22.51) and 100 free (48.82).
The other double winner was Daniel Branca (Panama) in the 200 free (1:44.82) and the 500 free (4:52.83).
