Tribune swimmers top Brockport
ROCHESTER - The MCC men's and women's swimming and diving teams picked up impressive victories over Brockport State Saturday afternoon.
The Tribune men (4-1) prevailed by a scored of 149-145. The Monroe women (5-0) won 140-121.
Each squad boasted a triple-winner to lead the way. For the men, Taylor Stewart (Owego, NY/Owego free Academy) placed first in the 100 fly (57.09), 100 free (50.24), and the 200 free (1:49.66). For the Lady Tribunes, Jennifer Conklin (Pittsford, NY/Pittsford Sutherland) won the 200 fly (2:22.03), the 500 free (5:31.59), and the 1000 free (11:07.22).
Brian Roberts (Middletown, NY/Middletown) won twice for the men, taking first in the 100 breaststroke (1:03.88) and 200 breaststroke (2:22.60).
For the women, Mallory Morrell (Rush, NY/Rush-Henrietta) won the 50 free (23.81) and the 100 free (53.59). Ashley Wumkes (Rochester, NY/Churchville-Chili) also won twice, taking first in the 200 back (2:23.21) and the 400 IM (5:12.49).
