Morrell sets two more marks for MCC
ROCHESTER - The MCC women's swimming and diving team defeated Buffalo State 177-35 in a non-league meet Saturday.
The Tribune men fell to the Bengals 125-106.
Mallory Morrell (Rush, NY/Rush-Henrietta) set two more team and Region III records for MCC. The sophomore won the 100 free in 52.62, breaking the old mark of 52.89 set by Urska Ros in 2002.
Morrell also won the 50 free in 23.60, breaking her own mark of 24.18 set last Wednesday in Buffalo.
Jennifer Conklin (Pittsford, NY/Pittsford Sutherland) was a double winner for MCC, taking first in the 500 free (5:37.08) and 200 free (2:08.56). Andrea Berger (Livonia, NY/Livonia) won 1-meter (170.00) and 3-meter (171.40) diving.
On the men's side, Tom Deiure (Rochester, NY/Eastridge) won the 1-meter (214.70) and 3-meter diving (221.60), and Taylor Stewart (Owego, NY/Owego Free), who won the 100 free (50.65) and the 200 free (1:50.64).
