MCC swimmers wrap up regular season with wins

ROCHESTER - The MCC men's and women's swimming and diving tams finished the regular seasin with dual meet victories over Genesee CC Wednesday evening.

The Tribune men (5-2) prevailed 121-44, while the women (6-1) won 125-40.

Matthew Toussaint (Medina, NY/Medina) paced the MCC men with victories in the 500 free (5:26.56) and the 1650 free (19:13.43).  Taylor Stewart (Owego, NY/Owego Free) placed first in the 100 fly (58.38) and the 200 IM (2:10.12).

Other double winners for the men included Tom Deiure (Rochester, NY/Eastridge) in 1-meter (226.50) and 3-meter (207.85) diving, and Matthew Caputo (Renton, WA/Kentridge) in the 50 free (23.27) and the 100 free (51.94).

Double winners on the women's side included Ashley Wumkes (Rochester, NY/Churchville-Chili) in the 200 IM (2:25.01) and the 1650 free (19:34.25), and Mallory Morrell (Rush, NY/Rush-Henrietta) in the 200 free (1:58.89) and the 100 fly (1:04.72).

Also winning twice were Kathryn McGowan (Dansville, NY/Dansville) in the 50 free (26.73) and the 100 free (59.04), and Andrea Berger (Livonia, NY/Livonia) in the 1-meter (176.90) and the 3-meter (195.55) diving.
