Corning tops Monroe in volleyball
CORNING - The Corning Community College Red Barons picked up a key Region III win over Monroe CC Saturday, defeating the Lady Tribunes in three games.
MCC is 4-7 on the season.
Sarah Kuperus (Newark, NY/Newark) finished with nine kills and five blocks for Monroe. Katie Lasch (Greece, NY/Greece Arcadia) added 11 kills.
Sarah Zelko (Horseheads, NY/Horseheads) chipped in with nine kills, 19 assists, and three aces.
