Genesee tops Monroe in volleyball
ROCHESTER - The Genesee Cougars scored a Western New York Athletic Conference victory Thursday evening, defeating Monroe in four games.
Scores were 27-25, 25-20, 17-25, 25-18 in favor of GCC.
Lisa Stefanik (Greece, NY/Greece Arcadia) had 12 digs and two aces for Monroe (9-10). Tamara Robertson (Victor, NY/Victor) chipped in with 13 digs and three kills.
Rachael Gnage (Williamson, NY/Williamson) had a solid all-around match for the Tribunes with five kills, two aces, and 15 digs. Symphony Samuels (Henrietta, NY/Rush-Henrietta) added four kills and three blocks.
