MCC sweeps FLCC in home finale
ROCHESTER - The MCC volleyball team celebrated its sophomores with a three-game victory over Finger Lakes CC in the team's last home regular season contest of the season.
The Tribunes topped the Lakers 25-9, 25-16, 25-22 to even its record at 14-14.
MCC will play in the Western New York Athletic Conference tournament this weekend at Niagara County CC. The regional playoffs start next week.
Sarah Kuperus (Newark, NY/Newark) had nine kills and Katie Lasch (Greece, NY/Greece Arcadia) added seven kills for the Tribunes.
Sarah Zelko (Horseheads, NY/Horseheads) tallied six aces and 20 assists, while Symphony Samuels (Henrietta, NY/Rush-Henrietta) had six kills. Jordan Bandera (Syracuse, NY/Solvay) chipped in with 16 digs.
