Tribs go 3-1 at Corning Tourney
CORNING -
The MCC volleyball team had another successful tournament, going 3-1 at the Red Baron Invitational at Corning Community College on Saturday.
The Tribunes are 13-14 heading into the last week of the regular season. Monroe hosts Finger Lakes CC on Wednesday night and travels to Niagara CCC for the Western New York Athletic Conference tournament on Saturday.
MCC defeated Adirondack CC 2-1, Alfred State 2-1, and Broome CC 2-1 before falling to Jefferson CC 2-0 on Saturday.
Sarah Kuperus (Newark, NY/Newark) had a big tournament, registering 27 kills and 11 blocks for Monroe. Symphony Samuels (Henrietta, NY/Rush-Henrietta) added 19 kills and seven blocks.
