MCC falls in Alfred Invitational
ALFRED, NY - The MCC volleyball team kicked off the season at the Alfred State Invitational last Saturday, losing three tough matches.
The Tribunes (0-3) fell 3-1 to Nassau CC, 3-2 to SUNY Delhi, and 3-1 to host Alfred.
Sarah Zelko (Horseheads, NY/Horseheads) had a solid tournament for Monroe, totaling 23 kills, 38 assists, 15 digs, and six aces. Sarah Kuperus (Newark, NY/Newark) added 21 kills and 10 blocks.
Symphony Samuels (Henrietta, NY/Rush-Henrietta) had 19 kills, Tamara Robertson (Victor, NY/Victor) had 17 kills and 20 digs, and Lisa Stefanik (Greece, NY/Greece Arcadia) added 35 assists and 22 digs.
