MCC volleyball defeats Mohawk Valley
ROCHESTER - The MCC volleyball team won the first two games, dropped the next two, and then rebounded to capture the deciding game to defeat Mohawk Valley CC Saturday afternoon.
Monroe prevailed by scores of 25-15, 25-19, 23-25, 23-25, and 15-12. The Tribunes improve to 10-12 on the season.
Jordan Bandera (Syracuse, NY/Solvay) provided steady play throughout, tallying 28 digs to help keep MCC on track. Tamara Robertson (Victor, NY/Victor) added seven kills, four aces, and 13 digs.
Symphony Samuels (Henrietta, NY/Rush-Henrietta) came up with some big plays down the stretch and finished with 17 kills and six blocks. Rachael Gnage (Williamson, NY/Williamson) chipped in with seven kills, three aces, and 20 digs.
