Tribunes fall to No. 1 Gulf Coast
SANFORD, FL - Despite 30 points from freshman guard Brittany Hilliard (Washington, D.C./Theodore Roosevelt), the MCC women's basketball team fell 91-65 to top-ranked Gulf Coast CC Saturday.
The Tribunes stayed within 10 points at intermission, but Gulf Coast pulled away in the second half to cruise to the victory.
Hilliard also added 10 rebounds on the afternoon. Kimberly Brown (Hayward, CA/Hayward) and Jimerea Lee (Philadelphia, PA/Neumann-Goretti) each added nine points.
Monroe is 4-6 on the season.
