Balance keys Monroe victory
NORTH EAST, PA - Brittany Hilliard (Washington, D.C./Theodore Roosevelt) led four players in double figures with 16 as the MCC Lady Tribunes topped Mercyhurst North East 91-50 Thursday.
Hilliard also added eight rebounds, five assists, and three steals as Monroe won its eighth straight to improve to 12-6 on the season.
A big first half was the key for the Tribunes. Charmonique Watt (Brooklyn, NY/Lincoln) scored 11 and Hilliard had 10 as MCC raced to a 48-18 lead at the break.
Caila Desroches (Oyster Bay, NY/John Glenn) had 13 points and seven rebounds off the bench. Watt finished with 11, while Kristina Rosario (Atlantic City, NJ/Absegami) chipped in with 11 points and eight rebounds. MCC outrebounded the Saints 59-36.
