Lady Tribunes the new No. 1
ROCHESTER - Thanks to a perfect 7-0 start to the season, the MCC women's soccer team has ascended to No. 1 in the national rankings for the first time this year.
The Lady Tribunes are ranked first in the NJCAA Division I poll that came out Sept. 22. They take the top spot from Navarro College, which suffered its first loss of the season last week. Polk State College moves up to No. 2.
MCC's new ranking will be put to the test right away. The Tribunes host Jamestown CC at 4 p.m. Wednesday before taking on third-ranked Community College of Rhode Island at 12 p.m. Saturday at home.
The CCRI game will be part of MCC's Alumni Weekend and Homecoming. It will be followed by a Monroe men's game at 2 p.m.
