MCC women stay unbeaten with victory
GENEVA - Casey Reinhardt (Rochester, NY/Hilton) and Victoria Begy (Livonia, NY/Livonia) had two goals apiece as the MCC women's soccer team defeated the William Smith JVs 6-0 Saturday afternoon.
The Tribunes improved to 3-0 on the season. They are ranked No. 2 in the NJCAA Division I poll.
Kasey O'Connell (Rochester, NY/Greece Arcadia) opened the scoring for MCC with 17 minutes remaining in the opening half. Begy then scored her goals just 3:23 apart late in the half as Monroe went into the locker room leading 3-0.
Reinhardt added her goals in the second half, sandwiched around a score by Maura Martin (Chili, NY/Gates Chili), to finish the scoring.
Rachel Murphy (Pittsford, NY/Pittsford Sutherland) picked up her second shutout of the season in goal. Jenelle Goff (Honeoye, NY/Honeoye) chipped in with two assists.
