MCC shuts out No. 3 IWCC

COUNCIL BLUFFS, IA - No. 6 Monroe Community College scored a goal in the second half to tie No. 14 Johnson County 1-1 in a women's soccer match Saturday.

The Lady Tribunes are 2-1-1 on the season.

The Cavaliers went ahead with a goal in the final minute of the first half.  The Tribunes scored the equalizer midway through the second half.

The Tribunes strung together a few passes through the midfield until it was on the foot of Karly Tolentino (Greece, NY/Greece Odyssey).  Tolentino took a shot that was deflected, and Kaylen O'Brien (Spencerport, NY/Spencerport) was there to put home the loose ball to tie the score.

The game remained 1-1 through the end of regulation and a pair of overtimes.

Chloe Crook (London, England/Holy Family) made 10 saves for the shutout in goal.
