Semrau, Tribunes top Stratton in OT
SYRACUSE - The MCC women's soccer team went into double overtime to preserve its perfect season, topping Bryant & Stratton 2-1 to improve to 10-0 on the season.
Chelsey Semrau (Greece, NY/Greece Arcadia) scored the game-winner with 6:10 left in the second extra session off a pass from Anne Beinetti (Honeoye Falls, NY/Homeschooled). It was the sophomore's second game-winning goal of the season.
Semrau also scored MCC's first goal off a penalty kick in the second half. Rachel Popowych (Hamlin, NY/Brockport) played the whole game in goal for Monroe, making two saves.
The Tribunes are ranked No. 1 in the nation in the NJCAA Division I poll.
