MCC heading to nationals
PEMBERTON, NJ - The MCC women's soccer team is heading back to the NJCAA national tournament.
The Tribunes defeated host Burlington County College on penalty kicks to win the District G tournament Sunday afternoon. Monroe (16-4-2) now advances to the Division I national tourney, Nov. 17-20 in Melbourne, Fla.
The game was scoreless through regulation and two 10-minute overtime periods before it headed to PK's. Chloe Crook (London, England/Holy Family) came up huge for Monroe, stopping the first Burlington shot with a tremendous save. Burlington's next try went over the bar.
