Beinetti scores twice as MCC rolls
ROCHESTER - The Monroe Community College women's soccer team improved to 3-0 on the season after defeating Cincinnati State 3-0 Friday afternoon in the MCC Invitational.
Anne Beinetti (Honeoye Falls,  NY/Homeschool) gave the Tribunes a 1-0 lead in the 13th minute as she lofted a perfectly placed shot into the top right corner.
The sophomore then added MCC's second score with 36:11 remaining in the second half. Sarah Petrie (Oswego, NY/Oswego) assisted on both of Beinetti's goals.
Veronica Santiago (Rochester, NY/Aquinas) capped the scoring for Monroe, taking a pass from Bailey Maxwell (St. Thomas, ON/St. Joseph's) and streaking past the defense before beating the goalie.
Rachel Popowych (Hamlin, NY/Brockport) and Kylee Jones (Brockport, NY/Brockport) combined for their third straight shutout for MCC. Jones made two saves.
Monroe will play Mercer CCC at 11 a.m. Sunday at MCC.
