Santiago named national Player of Week
ROCHESTER -
Veronica Santiago (Rochester, NY/Aquinas) was named the NJCAA Division I women's soccer national Player of the Week after leading the Lady Tribunes to a pair of victories last week.
The freshman had three goals and one assist in a 6-1 win over Genesee CC and added two goals and one assist in a 4-0 victory over Mercyhurst NE. She has eight goals and four assists on the season for second-ranked Monroe (6-0).
Santiago has registered a point in all six games the team has played and has scored a goal in five of six.
