Hilliker's OT goal lifts Monroe
ALFRED, NY - Sophomore Courtney Hilliker (Williamsville, NY/Williamsville South) scored the game-winning goal with 1:13 remaining in the final overtime to give the MCC women's soccer team a 1-0 win over Alfred State Wednesday.
The Tribunes improved to 10-1 on the season. Monroe is ranked fourth in this week's NJCAA Division I poll.
Crystal Morgan (Livonia, NY/Livonia) set up the winner, sending a crossing pass to the midfielder. Hilliker took the pass 20 yards out and hit the upper half of the goal to clinch the victory.
Rachel Murphy (Pittsford, NY/Pittsford Sutherland) picked up her fifth shutout of the season for Monroe.
