Lady Tribunes blank Saints
NORTH EAST, PA - The second-ranked MCC women's soccer team controlled the action en route to a 4-0 victory over host Mercyhurst North East Saturday.
The Lady Tribunes outshot the Saints 42-0 for the game and improved to a perfect 6-0 on the season.
Veronica Santiago (Rochester, NY/Aquinas) paced the attack with two goals and one assist for Monroe. She scored MCC's first goal, assisted on the next score by Ashley Wilson (Ravena, NY/Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk), and then added her second goal.
Marissa Masello (Camillus, NY/West Genesee) scored MCC's last goal, assisted by Vanessa Gillette (Fredonia, NY/Fredonia).
Bailey Maxwell (St. Thomas, ON/St. Joseph's) and Ashley Magar (Churchville, NY/Churchville-Chili) both added assists.
Rachel Popowych (Hamlin, NY/Brockport) and Kylee Jones (Brockport, NY/Brockport) combined for the shutout.
