Head Coach
Mike Kelly (First year)
Mike Kelly enters his first season as head coach for the MCC Tribunes. Kelly, an assistant since 1999, takes over for Skip Bailey, who stepped down after 11 successful seasons.
Coach Kelly played his high school ball at Aquinas Institute, leading the Irish for three years at the varsity level. Kelly then played two years at MCC, helping the team to a Region III, Division I championship during his freshman year in 1996. He received the Coach's Award for his dedication and hard work ethic that same year. He batted over .400 in 1997 and was given the prestigious David Johns Memorial Award while also being named to the All-Region team.
Kelly then took his talents to SUNY Brockport (1998-99), where he caught for two years and helped the Golden Eagles to a pair of successful seasons. He was also named to the SUNYAC All-Academic team.
Kelly has worked with pitchers and catchers during his time as an assistant with MCC. He has also served as the third-base coach the past two seasons. He has been a head coach in the New York Collegiate Baseball League for three years, currently managing the Webster Yankees.
