The MCC men's lacrosse team put together a balanced attack and used a big opening half to defeat Cayuga CC 29-8 in the Tribunes' season opener on DiMarco Field.
The lacrosse program at Monroe Community College started in the early 1970's as a club program. It faded out and started up again in 1989. Since then, the lacrosse team has made seven trips to the regional playoffs. In 2000, 2001, and 2004, the Tribunes advanced to the national tournament finishing their seasons in the semifinal round.
