MCC players earn All-American honors (Nov. 30, 2006)

The MCC men's soccer team had a successful season this fall, and two players have been honored by being named NJCAA Division I All-Americans.

 


The men's soccer program at Monroe Community College is one of the most dominant in Region III. Throughout the years the team has been ranked in the top 10 nationally. The team won the Region III title and advanced to the district finals in 2002 and 2006. Not only has the team been dominant on the field but also in the classroom. The program has had a handful of academic All-Americans.

The men’s soccer team helped put the college on the map by winning the 1965 national championship. Throughout the years many players have earned All-Region and All-American honors. Due to the program's successes players have transferred onto competitive Div. I, II, and III colleges and universities such as Arizona State, University of South Florida, Penn State, Cornell and many area New York schools.
