This grant sponsored program is designed to increase opportunities and successful transfer by community college graduates from low to moderate income levels to selective institutions. MCC is partnering with Amherst College and Cornell University.

CORNELL UNIVERSITY
The Pathway to Success program is a partnership between MCC and Cornell
University that provides
prospective transfer students with information, support, and guidance as

Cornell Transfer Day
Friday, November 6, 2009 (tentative date)
This
event provides an opportunity for prospective transfer students
to tour the beautiful Ivy-League campus of Cornell University. Explore
the various academic opportunities offered by the three
state assisted colleges: Agriculture and Life Sciences,
Human Ecology, and Industrial and Labor Relations. Learn
about financial aid, housing, and student life.
Speak
to faculty, staff and current students; they will be available
to answer your questions about academics and student life.
Morning
refreshments and lunch will be provided at no cost to participants.

The Foundation is a private, independent foundation established in
2000 by the estate of Jack Kent Cooke to help young people of exceptional
promise reach their full potential through education. It focuses in
particular on students with financial need. The Foundation's programs
include the largest scholarships in the U.S. for community college transfer
students, scholarships to graduate and high school students, and grants to
organizations that serve high-achieving students with financial need.
