Career counselors are available to meet individually with Monroe Community College students about any aspect of the career development process, from identifying an academic area of interest to engaging in the job search process.

Individual Walk-in Meetings

Walk-in hours are available in Career Services (3-108) for students with brief career or job search questions. Meetings are limited to 15-20 minutes. No appointment is necessary.  Walk-ins are only available while classes are in session.

Resume & Cover Letter Assistance

Tuesdays 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm | Fridays 9:00 am - 11:00 am
While classes are in session during the Fall and Spring semesters, walk-in assistance is available in the Career Service’s Library (3-108) during the above indicated days and times. Students can also meet with a Career Counselor during walk-ins or a scheduled appointment for resume and cover letter assistance.

Individual Appointments

Individual appointments are available to assist you with a range of career-related issues on an individual basis. Working one-on-one with our professional staff can be an effective method for dealing with various career concerns, such as: exploring career options related to your academic program, reviewing a resume, cover letter, and reference list. Connect via Skype - Virtual Appointment

The Career Service also offers appointments via Skype for those students that are unable to meet with a career counselor in person due to geographic, physical, or scheduling limitations. Visit our office (3-108) or call 585.292.2248 to set up your Skype appointment.

Students should create a Skype account (if you do not already have one) before scheduling the Skype appointment.

To start the meeting, follow the Skype directions. Once a meeting is started it is the students responsibility to email the counselor with the "join meeting" link provided by Skype. Counselor emails are:
