Summary of Current Responsibilities:
Oversees the maintenance, upgrades and enhancement to MCC’s network storage and email system
Oversee the implement and maintenance of wireless access on campus
Ongoing collaboration with end-users on new designs and improved technical services
Responsible for technical support for all classrooms and office PCs
Responsible for telephone and voice messaging support for the college campuses
Responsible for Mail Center services for the Brighton and Damon campuses
Oversee the budgets of five cost centers (Brighton –PC & Networking, Telecommunications Mail Center, Damon – PC & Networking, Telecommunications and Mail Center)
Submit funding proposals to support new technologies incentives
Provide status reports on technical projects
Chair search committee meetings for the hiring of technical staff
Inform the college community on new and updated services
Research new technologies and provide purchasing recommendations
Monitor bandwidth, systems and networking equipment
Write Bid specifications
Chair or member of specific college/divisional/department committees

Responsible for the operations of the Communications and Network Services department (i.e. PC & Network Support, Telecommunications and Mail Room Services). Manage services to end-user computer and telecommunication equipment, academic and administrative network systems, and server administration. Responsible for strategic and financial planning for Communications and Networks Services resources: forecasting direction and growth, developing equipment standards, and managing the cost accounting and billing systems. Also responsible for all personnel management within the department. Work closely with all the ETS staff for the operation of the college’s network backbone, telecommunication systems, wide area network links and mail services. This position reports to the Assistant Vice President, ETS.

. Students learn the methodology used to design databases and then applies these concepts in the actual building of databases.

. Students are introduced to PC based LAN and WAN architectures and concepts. The course covers topologies, hardware and software components, and protocol models.

. Online course will discuss the dimensions of the computer security problem, the types of computer-related, computer-assisted, or computer-abuse crimes, a profile of the electronic criminal; infiltration by organized crime; the selection of personnel; establishment of a code of ethics, policies, procedures, a master plan, and methods of insuring adherence; potential sources of attack and security measures to prevent or protect against.

Implemented the classroom management system on the Student Information System.
Supervised many implementations of new releases of: Student Information System (SIS), Human Resource System (HRS), Financial Records System (FRS), and Financial Aid Regulations.

Developed a Z-writer Training Manual and provided training for Admissions, Financial Aid, Bursars and Records and Registration Offices.
