Pat Taricone, Ph.D., NCC
As a counselor in Counseling and Advising, I serve in several capacities. My primary responsibility is to provide counseling to student experiencing a variety of problems and concerns. This could include problems related to mental health and emotional difficulties, substance abuse and dependence, relationship and family problems, and any other issues affecting the well-being of our students.
My expertise lies in counseling persons with aggressive tendencies and anger difficulties, persons who are experiencing problems with substance abuse and dependence, person who have difficulty socializing and adapting to the college environment.
In addition to my responsibilities as a counselor, I also provide academic advising to students, conduct the Seeds of Success workshop, and serve as the Veterans Certifying Official for MCC.
When time and opportunity permit, I also teach a course or two as an adjunct professor for RIT, the U of R and MCC.
On a personal note, I play drums, play golf (not too well), read fiction – mostly thrillers, and enjoy my family and friends.
