      Damon City Campus
      The Bookstore

When you think of college bookstores, what things come to mind?  Long lines? Madhouse frenzies?  Counters piled up with textbooks?  Now think of the Damon City Campus bookstore:  the one-stop shop filled with books and general school supplies gets you off to the right start at MCC.
      Shopping at the DCC Bookstore
It has all the textbooks you need, and if you can't find what you're looking for, on e of several friendly staff members can help you.  Many of them are students who know the bookstore from both sides of the register.  They'll keep you posted for the book-buy back days--when you can return well-kept texts at decent rates.

The bookstore sells sturdy canvas bookbags and backpacks with sweatshirts and tees to match.  Buy some organizers, folders, binders, calendars, pens, rulers, calculators, and mini-cassette recorders.

Don't forget about the bookstore during the semester.  It's your place to pick up the local news, latest works from Toni Morrison, Ray Gonzalez, or Deepak Chopra.  On the other hand, maybe you want cookbooks like Applehood and Mother Pie?  Browse through PC World, ELIE, LIFE, or Martha Stewart's Living.

Stop in to see us.  We're on Damon's fourth floor--4235.  Give us a call at 262-1730 for the current hours.  Have a great semester!

      Buy Back Information

The DCC bookstore buys the largest range of books--hard or softbound.  We will pay up to 50% of the book price providing the textbook:

        1. Is being used on this campus.
        2. Is needed to fill the bookstores quota.
        3. Is in reusable condition.

        Here's an example:

You paid $46.00 for a textbook, we will pay $23.00 or 50%.

For books not needed on this campus but having national demand, up to 35% of the new price may be paid.  Discontinued books are shipped to a wholesaler who recycles them to other colleges and universities where they are needed.  Old editions have no national value.

REMEMBER:  Recycling your books is good for the environment and lowers the price of textbooks.  Books with writing or highlighting may have value.  The book prices are determined by the publishers.  Wholesale prices are based on national supply and demand.  Copies in poor condition will be deducted appropriately.  Old editions have no value and cannot be purchased.
