Welcome! I'm glad you decided to come and visit. I'd like
to tell you a bit about myself. I grew up and was educated
in Michigan (Ferris State University and the University of
Michigan). My decision to come to Rochester was based solely
on my obtaining gainful employment at Monroe Community College. |
| Newcomers to the area are often discouraged by
the weather and leave at the first opportunity. Being of hearty
stock, I remained. I married one of the local boys and settled
down. Clinical Dental Hygiene is my favorite aspect of teaching.
I have been the freshmen clinical coordinator since 1994. It
is exciting to work with the first year students and watch their
skills develop. If you are considering a career in Dental Hygiene
at MCC, you will share this excitement. |

| Dr. Lawrence has taught at Monroe Community College since
1989. Besides being chairperson of the department since September
1996, he has been supervising dentist for the program since
1995. His interests include educational technology and distance

| She is a graduate of the first MCC Dental Hygiene Class of
1966. She has taught at MCC since 1977. Experience includes
private practice, Monroe County Public School system and federally
funded programs. Professor Rivaldo currently coordinates dental
studies radiology classes. |
